It’s the first day of 2015 and the future is looking bright.
As we welcome the peace of a new year, it’s also a time of reflection. We take stock our successes, muddle over our mistakes and calculate how this year will be our best yet.
We make resolutions, write out our lists and even join the gym in hopes of doing better in 2015.
However today, I’d like to challenge you to do something different.
Instead of writing a list of resolutions (many of which we’ll never keep)-today I want you to focus on ONE word or phrase that will guide you through 2015.
See to me it’s much easier to focus on one thing.
Lists can be overwhelming.
It’s almost like you get stuck figuring out which task to do first.
Let’s have some fun!
Take out a piece of paper and grab a pen.
At the top of the page I want you to write the first word that pops in your head. No really…the first word.
Then under that define it in your own words.
For example, let’s say my word is love.
I’d write LOVE at the top of my page and then underneath I’d write, small things that have a huge impact. Because for me, that’s what love is.
Now it’s your turn.
I want you to keep writing out phrases that define your word until you fill up the entire page.
Feel free to use more pages if you feel inspired.
When you feel you’ve written out your soul’s message, STOP and re-read what you wrote.
What sticks out to you?
Highlight it and that’s your new phrase (or word) for 2015. Don’t over think it. Usually our first response it right on the money.
Now what does any of this have to do with sleep? Everything.
Once you’re clear on your purpose it’ll be alot easier for you (your kids) to get a good night’s sleep.
Clarity brings calm. Calm brings relaxation. Relaxation brings rest.
As we enter 2015, don’t bring all that crap and drama from last year with you. God wants more for you and so do I. You deserve to sleep well so that you can live your BEST life everyday.
2015 is our year! God is preparing to bless us beyond our wildest dreams. I hope you’re ready!
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve your family and I know 2015 is going be a pivotal year for all of us.
Happy New Year!
